On Thursday 28th February 2019 we inaugurated at our Bari office the demonstration plant for diaphragm actuated automatic control valves that will be used for training courses on these types of equipment.

Three different types of diaphragm actuated automatic control valves were installed on the plant: a pressure relief valve, a pressure reducing valve and a float controlled modulating constant level valve.

On this occasion we held a seminar, in which engineers and technicians of Acquedotto Pugliese Spa took part.

The seminar was structured in two sections: a lesson in the meeting room and a practical demonstration on the plant.

In the meeting room we discussed the following points:

  • on-off and modulating base valve principle of operation;
  • sizing of the valve;
  • valve calibration and startup modes;
  • periodic inspections and checks;
  • search for the malfunction.

Instead, the following operations were performed on the plant:

  • practical demonstration of the startup;
  • valve calibration;
  • dismantling, inspection and reassembly of an automatic control valve.
