Extraordinary maintenance intervention performed on a float controlled on-off valve installed in a rainwater recovery tank in Taranto.

The problem spotted by the customer was the failure to close the valve when the float placed in the tank reached the maximum level.

Once we got there, we first checked the connections of the hydraulic circuit between the valve and the float in the tank, then we carried out all the operations for finding the fault. The result was that the shutter was blocked and did not close the valve.

After removing the cover, the membrane and the shutter, we found stones and debris in the body of the valve that blocked its operation and that we removed manually.

The intervention ended with the reassembly of the valve, the reactivation of the hydraulic connections with the float, the calibration, the testing and the check of the correct operation of the valve.
